Position Purpose:
The Home Depot is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager – Threat Hunting to lead and mature our proactive threat hunting program while developing a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals. This role combines people leadership, program strategy, and hands-on cybersecurity expertise, with a focus on advancing threat-informed hunting methodologies, improving detection capabilities, and driving automation and AI-enabled efficiencies across the hunting lifecycle.
Global Hunt Operations - Plan and execute proactive hunting campaigns
- Define hunt methodologies
- Develop and mature the threat-informed defense model
Threat Research - Translate threat intelligence into hunt hypotheses and hunt packages
- Continue developing a hypothesis-driven hunting program
- Work with Threat Intelligence (CTI) to operationalize emerging TTPs
Detection Advancement - Turn successful hunts into durable detections and analytics
- Partner closely with Detection Engineering to convert hunts into actionable detections for Threat Detection & Response analysts
Automation - Reduce manual hunting effort through engineering and AI
- Focus on automation-first and AI-assisted hunting
- Integrate manual, repeatable processes into an AI / automation pipeline
People Leadership - Develop junior and senior hunters into technical experts and advisors to the incident response process
- Define hunt quality standards
Program Metrics - Measure hunt effectiveness, ATT&CK coverage, and detection improvements
Key Responsibilities:
- 100% Deliver Execution, Plans & Aligns, Develop Others - Collaborate across teams to reduce vulnerabilities, risks and incident management; Drive execution of solution delivery; Guide teams in strategy, alignment, analysis and execution to ensure priorities objectives/deliverable are met; Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to direct reports
