Manager, Security Program Administration
Job Summary:The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services and solutions to protect the value and use of Disney’s information through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across the enterprise. We protect the brand and reputation while enabling and supporting business objectives. GIS teams are located in Burbank, Seattle and Orlando.
The Manager, Security Program Administration leads a team responsible for three key areas of the company’s Information Security Program:
- End User Awareness Training & Education: The vision is to maintain a strong culture of cybersecurity awareness across all of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) through continued maturation of the training and communication plan and deliverables and metric-driven reporting illustrating its effectiveness and efficiency.
- Executive Communications: This includes design, development and delivery of communication from the SVP, Information Security & Technology Risk Management, ranging from annual updates to TWDC’s Board of Directors to Team “All Hands” meetings. This function incorporates both strategic communication consulting and presentation design services.
- Team and Cast Administration: Working in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition, in support of finding and retaining a highly engaged team. While these include GIS-specific recruiting and onboarding communication and events, the focus is on working with the GIS Leadership Team to coordinate development opportunities and team engagement communications and activities which emphasize the GIS team norms:

Responsibilities:The Manager, Security Program Administration provides leadership and direction for the following:
End User Awareness Training and Education Program: Act as Program Lead, working closely with Incident Response, Security Assurance, Risk Management and other cybersecurity teams, as well as multiple communication teams across TWDC, to create ‘sticky’ awareness messaging and to incorporate storytelling into various training offerings.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain TWDC Mandatory Information Security Training and other related training as directed by TWDC’s CISO (monitor coverage and compliance, document exception process, etc.)
- Produce and distribute topic-focused awareness communication via TWDC communication partners that supports training objectives
- Produce and distribute general awareness communication during Cybersecurity Awareness Month
- Develop and maintain niche training (e.g. privileged access holders, executive admins, tech teams)
- Provide information security awareness content to communication partners when requested
Executive Communications responsibilities:
- Create and execute GIS communication strategy, ensuring GIS leaders and staff deliver consistent messages (security strategy, execution and impact across TWDC)
- Oversee production of all communication within GIS and facilitate alignment with other communication partners
- Coordinate and produce external-facing executive communication, end-of-year reports, reports to senior TWDC leadership, TWDC Board of Directors and other GIS executive communications to TWDC (e.g., Cybersecurity Awareness Month)
- Coordinate and produce Team engagement and communication and events such as SharePoint administration, monthly “All Hands” and Information Security Forum meetings
Team & Cast Administration responsibilities:
- Manage GIS resource strategy, ensuring all hiring managers are operating in alignment with GIS objectives and processes; monitor resource reports for accuracy
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to increase throughput (e.g., recruiting marketing) and promote GIS participation in ongoing recruiting; monitoring recruiting against fiscal year targets
- Maintain GIS job families documentation, job descriptions, recruiting process documentation
- Oversight of GIS positions for acquisitions, internal moves, other changes in coordination with HR
- Maintain reporting on training and professional growth actions ensuring alignment with departmental performance objectives
- Facilitate talent discussions with Leadership team, including 9 Box exercises
- Maintain organization charts and reporting per departmental and leadership requirements
- Monitor and facilitate project hire/contractor requests, work assignments, extensions, off-boarding
- Facilitate GIS Internship Program: program development, assignment management, extensions, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years in a corporate environment
- 3 years leading teams and developing individuals
- Demonstrated mastery of program management and communications strategy & execution
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Develop strong working relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and oral communication (including presentation skills), problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of proficiency w/-Microsoft suite including SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Information Security and/or Technology Risk Management
- 7 years in a large, matrixed corporate environment
- 5 years leading teams and developing individuals
- Graphic Design and Talent Acquisition/Recruiting & Retention experience
Preferred Education4-year degree in Business, Communications, Design, Management Information Systems, Organizational Development or other related field preferred
