Cybersecurity Architect, Cryptography Projects
Location: Tubize #ON-SITE
The Cybersecurity Engineer for Cryptography Projects needs to be a technical passionate. Based on their existing background in IT, telecommunication systems and/or cybersecurity, they will be eager to discover new technologies to continuously expand and reinforce their expertise in these fields. They will put their expertise at the service of both the security-centric projects of the Security discipline and the secure-by-design aspects of the projects lead by the other disciplines.
Your Mission:
Design customer-centric cryptographic architectures by analyzing security needs, defining optimal solutions, and serving as the primary technical interface for stakeholders.
Lead system specification, design, and Make/Team/Buy decisions, collaborating with hardware, software, security, and QA teams to deliver compliant, high-assurance cryptographic solutions.
Act as the technical authority on cryptography, driving innovation, risk assessments, and best practices to counter evolving threats (e.g., post-quantum algorithms) and meet regulatory standards (e.g., FIPS, Common Criteria).
Own technical documentation (HLD/LLD, test plans, user manuals) with end-to-end traceability—from requirements to implementation, validation, and deployment—ensuring audit readiness.
Support sales/marketing teams in technical pre-sales activities (RFIs/RFPs, demos, PoCs) by translating complex cryptographic concepts into customer-facing solutions.
Guide development and testing teams to ensure on-time delivery, security compliance, and performance optimization of cryptographic implementations.
Assess and mitigate cryptographic risks (e.g., side-channel attacks, key management vulnerabilities) while aligning solutions with global security standards and customer-specific requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or related STEM field with 5+ years designing embedded security systems (requirements, architecture, testing).
3+ years of experience in at least 3 of the following: model-based system engineering, Common Criteria certification, cybersecurity solution deployment (firewalls, anti-DDoS, risk management), IP/IPv6 networking, or embedded Linux.
Hands-on expertise in cryptography-centric design, including classified information handling, crypto governance, EBIOS risk assessments, or translating business needs into technical security solutions.
Proven experience with security certification frameworks (e.g., Common Criteria) and adherence to technical/governance constraints in high-assurance environments (classified or regulated sectors).
Familiarity with tools like Capella, DOORS, Polarion, Jira, or LaTeX is a strong differentiator.
Passionate about diverse tech integrations, continuous learning, and problem-solving with strong communication skills,
Customer-focused mindset with a track record of pragmatic delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and bridging technical, business, and operational gaps—experience in knowledge sharing (seminars, webinars, whitepapers) is a plus.
