Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for leading cybersecurity investigations,
coordinating incident response, and ensuring audit-ready documentation of security
events. This role operates with greater independence and supports continuous
improvement of security operations and compliance posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigation and analysis of security incidents across systems
- Determine incident severity and coordinate response actions
- Work with IT Operations to execute containment and remediation
- Develop and refine incident response playbooks and procedures
- Validate and maintain audit-ready security documentation and evidence
- Support audits and compliance initiatives aligned to NIST/CMMC frameworks
- Develop security metrics and reporting for leadership
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements in detection and response capabilities
- Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity or IT experience
• Experience with incident response and investigation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security ecosystem and EDR tools
• Knowledge of NIST, CMMC, or similar compliance frameworks
• Certifications such as CySA+, GIAC GSEC, or Microsoft SC-200
Skills Required
