As an entry-level Software Engineer on Honeywell's Product Cybersecurity team, you will support the design and implementation of cybersecurity solutions. You will develop and support software, automation, and integrations that help secure Honeywell products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
You will report directly to our Senior Cyber Security Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a hybrid work schedule.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software in Java, Groovy, or Python.
- Automate Product Cybersecurity processes and system integrations.
- Integrate security services into products and development workflows.
- Support certificate issuance and software-signing services.
- Troubleshoot issues and participate in code reviews.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 1+ year of software development experience, including internships, academic projects, personal projects, or professional experience.
- 1+ year of programming experience in Java, Groovy, Python, or a similar programming language, including internships, academic projects, personal projects, or professional experience.
- 1+ year of experience with software development, testing, or version control, including internships, academic projects, personal projects, or professional experience.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, cloud platforms, or PKI.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Interest in automation, secure software development, and cybersecurity, including through academic coursework, personal projects, certifications, or self-directed learning.
- Basic understanding of software development, testing, version control, and cybersecurity concepts.
The annual base salary range for this position is $90,100 - $113,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
