The opportunity
As the Cyber Safety Awareness Lead you will be responsible to drive a cyber security-aware culture within QBE by providing regionally-relevant training and resources, managing information security risks, and promoting the Enterprise, Security, Trust & Resilience function through stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for the AUSPAC, ASIA and GSSC regions leading human risk management program activities.

Your new role
Develop and deliver the regional cyber safety strategy in line with the global approach.
Support the Divisional Information Security Officer by influencing technology and business stakeholders and delivering training to high‑risk employee groups.
Work with Communications, Learning & Development, Risk & Compliance, and Technology teams to create engaging cyber safety awareness content for employees, partners, and customers.
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and project teams to deliver services that meet expectations.
Run practical testing to measure employee awareness of cyber threats and report results to Executive Leadership forums.
Explain complex cyber and risk concepts clearly and engagingly to a wide range of audiences, including senior leaders.
Prepare regular reporting and insights to support the Divisional Information Security Officer and the cyber safety awareness program.
Act as a trusted adviser by sharing knowledge and best practices and supporting the growth of cyber security and IT capabilities.
Identify and communicate emerging and ongoing risks, assess their impact, and support leaders to prioritise actions in partnership with the first line risk team.
About you
To be successful as the Cyber Safety Lead you will ideally have prior experience within Cyber Safety, Cyber Awareness of Human Risk Management. You will have a passion for Cyber Security and will excel in communicating cyber security concepts for end users and thinking critically about where human risk exists within the organisation. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds including but not limited to other cyber security areas, legal, privacy, journalism.
You will also have:
Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, influencing outcomes through clear, confident communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, practical messages.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving capability, able to assess issues, challenge assumptions, and make sound, well‑reasoned decisions.
