Pratt Miller is looking for a Customer Support Program (CSP) Engineer to join its Competition Engineering Department. The CSP engineering role contributes to the Corvette GT3 program with exposure to internal stakeholders, external customers, and vehicle/system development in various capacities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
External Customer Vehicle and Championship Support
Act as the main point of contact for vehicle operation and customer tool support:
- General objectives are to support teams with vehicle operation and service through use of internal documentation, tool sets, and knowledge base including but not limited to:
- Published vehicle support documentation
- Documentation and tracking tools for reviewing support requests and issue tracking
- Vehicle configuration and mileage tracking
Pre-event support and shop-based preparation to assist customers with understanding vehicle operational and configuration recommendations through:
- Generation and distribution of pre-event report documentation
- Tracking and communication of recommended vehicle hardware updates and status
- Generation of internal event preparation documentation
- Participation/organization of meetings to review above mentioned information
At-event support of tracking vehicle operation through:
- Vehicle data processing and information distribution
- Monitoring of critical vehicle system performance
- Tracking customer hardware, performance, and functional related feedback for customer and internal use
- Vehicle milage and configuration tracking
- Act as troubleshooting or knowledgebase resource
- Participation/organization of meetings to collaborate or review program level performance, hardware or operational objectives
Post event support to advance customer and program level understanding and development:
- Documentation and reporting of performance and hardware operation or issues
- Derive program level objectives and deliverable from at-event learnings
- Participation/organization of meetings to review above mentioned information
Internal Program Support
Contributing to vehicle development initiatives:
- Vehicle setup/performance
- Vehicle hardware integration
- General subsystem development
- In-person support of offsite testing
- Tools and process development to aid in the above listed tasks
Simulation support:
- Baseline vehicle model correlation and specific event performance sensitivity generation
- Development content generation for specific test events or larger scale development programs
- In-person support of offsite testing for either internal or customer support of DiL testing
Program reporting and documentation:
- Maintain and develop reporting documentation and process for event and engineering level projects
Team Member Interactions
This role will interface heavily with our primary supplier and customer base. Overall communication and interaction are expected to be handled in a collaborative manner for the overall improvement of performance and execution.
The role will be expected to interact with other groups within Pratt & Miller, and outside in relation to execution of duties not limited to:
- Organization, participation, and collaboration in meetings
- Support and project related travel
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be. assigned as required:
- Support Pratt Miller initiatives, marketing events, and general development as necessary
- Provide feedback on product needs and processes
- Support Program Management Office on process developments and improvements
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Desired Education
- BS in engineering or other advanced technical background
- Preferred to have background in motorsport with 2 years of experience
- Preferred background in vehicle dynamics and controls engineering
Desired Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- General engineering background covered as part of duties outlined above
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics
- Familiar with data acquisition systems - Preferably motorsport based

Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Stress may occur periodically
- Long hours may be required at times
- Travel required but would vary on support needs. Total travel commitments can range from 40 to 80 days a year.

Pay Range:
$78,400.00 - $121,500.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
