Position Summary
Interacts with customers taking and processing orders, providing information in response to inquiries about orders and shipments, handling and resolving complaints. Customer liaison to other departments for order completion.Scope/Supervision & InteractionWork independently while reporting to the Customer Service Manager. This position interfaces with all Parker Divisions, Distributors, and Customers in Latin America, as well as Division Staff, Parker personnel and freight forwarders.
Responsibilities • Interacts with customers providing essential information about the status of quotes, orders, shipments and claims, • Secure all information necessary to properly process customer orders in Order Entry System.• Obtain Intercompany Transfer Price (ICTP), list price and appropriate discounts to process orders.• Confer with appropriate personnel to investigate delays in production and shipping schedules.• Negotiate improvement in projected delivery dates, follow-up progress of orders.• Resolve invoice discrepancies; advise field and customer personnel of current status.• Maintains communication with other departments
Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent.• Bilingual: English and Portuguese • 2-3 years of customer service experience.• Demonstrates passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.• Excellent English and Portuguese oral & written communication skills.• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.• Pleasant, patient and friendly attitude with the ability to handle difficult and unpleasant customers.• Math background/proficiency for pricing and calculating discounts.• Excellent organizational skills.• Basic computer skills.Additional Comments: The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
