The Customer Solutions Architect for Railway, will play a crucial role in designing and delivering cutting-edge Train-to-Ground communication architectures. They will be responsible for creating efficient network designs, integrating various subsystems, and ensuring high availability and redundancy. This role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, virtualization, and wireless solutions.
Responsibilities- Design end-to-end T2G communication architecture, including IP addressing, routing, and network segmentation.
- Create High-Level and Low-Level Design documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Implement LTE, Wi-Fi, and wired backhaul connectivity, and configure networking equipment.
- Integrate subsystems such as CCTV, PIS, PA, AFC, and AVLS, ensuring seamless communication.
- Perform site installation, commissioning, and integration testing, ensuring smooth operations.
- Conduct FAT and SAT, validating network performance, failover scenarios, and throughput.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues, analyzing logs and traffic using tools.
- Monitor network health and performance, identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with the sales team and participate in the full project life cycle, from sales to care transfer.
Must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in T2G solutions.
- Expertise in Linux Debian/OpenWRT or equivalent Linux distros, with strong OS management skills.
- Proficiency in network routings, firewall configurations, and network interface design.
- In-depth understanding of OSI model layers, TCP/IP protocols, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with VPN solutions, LTE/5G, and Wi-Fi solutions, including Eltec/Aruba HPE WiFi.
- Familiarity with IEEE standards 802.3, 802.1Q, and 802.11(a/b/n/ac/ax) is essential.
- Strong scripting skills, particularly in Shell and Bash, for automation and integration.
- Ability to work with 3rd party and Nokia proprietary equipment, ensuring seamless deployment.
