The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and professional service to customers while supporting the organization’s commitment to quality and continual improvement. This role ensures that customer requirements are met through customer focus, order management, process consistency, and effective communication for all Kinedyne entities (e.g. government and international customers).
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process customer orders.
- Verify order accuracy, including pricing, shipping details, delivery dates, and special instructions.
- Maintain accurate customer and account records to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries using product knowledge and problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions.
- Coordinate product returns, including carrier communication, create freight claims, and credit processing, in line with company policies.
- Communicate order status and critical updates to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Provide quotes and availability for custom order requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, production, logistics, sales) to ensure customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying service gaps and recommending process enhancements.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and basic computer skills.
- Bilingual in French or Spanish is a plus.
- Order management via ERP system
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and communication.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service or a customer solutions environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in order management.
- Customer service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
