The Customer Project Engineer is responsible for supporting project management by preparing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, including contracts and Statements of Work (SoWs). The role coordinates project schedules and logistics, such as meetings and travel arrangements, to ensure timely execution. The role involves tracking project progress, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines, and communicating any issues or delays to the team. The role facilitates communication between internal teams and customers, manages project-related data, and prepares detailed progress reports.
Job Description/ Job Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales support: Proceed site inspection and support partner account manager (PAM) and channel partner to increase Philips present and winning rate by check site installation feasibility, working with site planning for site layout planning, consult customer on site preparation requirement for installation, propose tentative project planning.
- Post-sale (project execution) – DI/IGT: Regular travel to project site for inspection, monitoring and reporting site readiness progress, co-ordinate for equipment delivery, follow up on pending site readiness to ensure no impact to installation completion date.
- National support on execution for fast flow project: connected care, Ultrasound, Upgrade and standalone EI order (AVW, CI).
- Assists in the preparation, organization, and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring all contracts, Statements of Work (SoW), and relevant materials are accurate and easily accessible to the project team.
- Coordinates project schedules and logistics, including organizing meetings, booking venues, and arranging travel for project team members, to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
- Monitors and tracks the progress of project deliverables, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon quality standards and deadlines, and promptly communicates any delays or issues to the project team.
- Handles the entry, updating, and management of project-related data in internal systems, ensuring all project records are consistently up-to-date and error-free.
- Assists in the preparation of detailed project progress reports by gathering and compiling data from various sources, ensuring that the information is comprehensive and delivered on time.
- Addresses basic inquiries, providing timely updates on project status, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate team members when necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Electronic, or Automation or Civil Engineering highly required
Qualification in business or contract management would be advantageous
Field Service Engineers with Medical Device Experience are welcome to apply!
Minimum 2 years Project Management experience in equipment installation, infrastructure delivery or construction projects, in a B2B environment and/or in Engineering/IT background.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred
Experience in contract and risk management as well as a solid understanding of the supply chain process and working with large, cross-functional teams
Sound negotiation and stakeholder management experience
Fluent in English, verbal and written
High level of software literacy; MS Office suite, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce preferred
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
