We are searching for a Customer Finance Operations Supervisor ('Trade Spend Supervisor') to join our team in either Hopkins, MN or Marshall, MN. In this role, the Trade Spend Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff to ensure all controls, processes and procedures are followed related to all trade spending (deductions and checks) and processed in a timely and efficient manner and incompliance with agreed upon program requirements, including adherence to all internal guidelines and accounting rules.
Responsibilities:
Oversee trade spend programs by establishing effective controls, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
Partner with customers, brokers, and sales teams to resolve deduction discrepancies and post-audit claims; lead documentation, calls, and negotiations to secure resolution and recovery.
Maximize system functionality (SAP, EDI, and related trade systems) to drive data accuracy, financial accruals, tracking, and reporting efficiencies.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and third-party providers to design, implement, and manage trade programs and rebate processes, ensuring smooth execution and customer adherence.
Analyze trade spend trends, ROI, and spend vs. plan; provide actionable reporting and recommendations for improvement.
Lead, coach, and develop team members while monitoring key KPIs such as DDO, deduction and accrual aging, and overall process compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Years of Related Experience: 3-4 years related experience.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills. Database understanding, with querying experience. Advanced written skills. Demonstrated effective communication skills, including presentation skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Good mathematical comprehension. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work within a budget. Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $68,000 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
