The opportunity

We have a brand new opportunity for a Customer Development Senior Lead to join the Growth Products team. Reporting to the Head of Underwriting - Growth Products, you will support delivering profitable product initiatives and growth, ensuring compliance with governance standards and underwriting strategy.

This role involves managing a product portfolio for an assigned team, providing specialist advice and technical support to underwriting teams, and driving the development, implementation, and monitoring of product strategy to achieve a profitable portfolio and meet customer expectations.

Your new role

As Customer Development Senior Lead, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement product strategy in conjunction with the Head of Underwriting 
  • Conduct product trend analysis across relevant product
  • Ensure underwriting activities comply with business and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver timely decisions and problem-solving solutions for internal/external customers and business partners
  • Review of underwriting rules and tools, to recommend improvements
  • Assist in achieving the financial business plan
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, brokers, and colleagues
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to underwriters for effective resource allocation and optimal performance

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a Financial Modelling background from an organisation with strong product-management focus. You will have previous product analysis experience in area of responsibility where you have managed or lead analysts with increasing levels of responsibility.

You will also have:

  • A working knowledge of underwriting or underwriting governance, portfolio management and Insurance
  • Experience as a senior product analyst or product manager for multiple business lines/geographic regions
  • Experience implementing processes, systems or tools requiring engagement and collaboration across multiple functions
  • Proven administrative experience with exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in product development and/or management
  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
