The CAE will provide technical support for customers and to the broader Sales and FAE team. The CAE will assist in developing opportunities incorporating MPS products. The CAE identifies and shares current and emerging customer technical needs to improve MPS product positioning and guide new product development.
Essential Functions
- Provide technical support to Customers & Sales Channels Partners throughout territory.
- Ensure coordination of technical matters with the Factory Team as needed
- Manage Joint Development Programs with Customers.
- Discover new potential customers, applications, and opportunities with introducing right products.
- Communicate with HQ for new product(s) promotion activity.
- Bring new product ideas for future business development.
- Collaborate with customers on system architecture design and troubleshooting.
- Lead technical discussions and hands-on demonstrations, including emerging technology Evaluation kits usage.
- Develop and deliver technical training for internal and customers.
Required Experience
- Automotive Design and Development or Automotive FAE /CAE work background is preferred.
- BE with 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Power management or Design and testing or as a Field Application Engineer in semiconductor industry.
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Oral / written proficiency in English language.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal team and to customers.
- Willingness to travel to support customer sites as needed.
- Self-starter, self-motivated.
- Ability to operate under minimum supervision.
Desired Skills
- Experience in Power electronics circuit (Exp in DC/DC converter, PMIC with I2C or PMBus and Automotive work exp is mandatory).
- Understanding of most common power supply architecture, and DCDC converter control loops operation, Battery Front end protection, USB and BMS application.
- The ability to develop strong relationships with assigned customers.
- The ability to evaluate electronic performance of EVB and customer boards on bench.
- Demonstrated leadership in customer-facing technical support roles.
