Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the RoleRamp is hiring a Customer Activation Manager for Ramp Accounts Receivable, which brings the work behind getting paid into one connected workflow. You will help finance teams make invoicing, follow-up on unpaid balances, payment matching, and accounting handoffs useful and repeatable. You will own the customer-facing implementation and adoption plan, partner with the broader account team and specialists as needed, and help build a clear playbook for future launches. This role is a strong fit for a customer success or implementation professional who understands finance workflows and enjoys creating structure as a product grows.
What You’ll DoDiscover how customers create invoices, follow up on unpaid balances, match payments, handle exceptions, and update their accounting records.
Choose a practical first workflow with the customer, then lead the plan from setup through first use, training, and repeat adoption.
Align Controllers, AR operators, account teams, and technical partners on prerequisites, responsibilities, decisions, and timelines.
Identify and resolve adoption blockers, and escalate payment-matching or accounting integration issues with clear evidence and context.
Communicate customer progress and value in terms of time saved, visibility, and a more reliable invoice-to-cash process.
Document customer learnings in reusable discovery, onboarding, and handoff practices.
Roughly 3+ years of relevant experience in customer success, onboarding, implementations, or a related customer-facing role; level is flexible based on experience.
A record of personally leading post-sale implementation or workflow adoption from discovery through first use and continued use.
Ability to map a finance workflow, find manual handoffs or blockers, and turn the findings into a practical customer plan.
Clear communication with finance stakeholders and cross-functional partners, including ownership of next steps and thoughtful escalation.
Comfort working without a mature playbook and improving the process for future customers.
Direct experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, billing, collections, cash application, or payment matching.
Familiarity with accounting software, ERP integrations, or accounting-system handoffs.
Experience in finance software or with finance-led customer implementations.
