The Position
A seasoned and highly skilled senior .NET developer with a deep understanding of modern .NET frameworks, C# and a proven track record in developing robust and scalable solutions. Candidates will have a broad experience including RESTful API design, microservices, service bus technologies, containerisation and unit testing. They should be able to critically analyse requirements and provide constructive feedback into design decisions, aligning with industry best practice and standards.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Software development: Design, develop and software solutions using modern .NET frameworks in C#
- Algorithm Analysis: Break down complex algorithms into robust, reusable and testable classes and code.
- Requirements Analysis: Critically analyse requirements and provide constructive feedback on design decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
- RESTful API design and implementation: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring they are designed for performance scalability and ease of use.
- Service Bus technologies: Design and integrate systems using service bus technologies to enable efficient communication between microservices.
- Integration with External APIs and Data Sources: Work with external APIs and data sources to integrate third party services into the application
- Database: Utilise EF core for data access and management in conjunction with relational databases. Work with both relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) to meet diverse data storage and retrieval needs
- Unit testing and mocking: Implement and advocate unit testing and mocking to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the code base and reduce technical debt.
