Brady Corporation is seeking a Custom Quote Specialist - who will provide internal and external customers with the best possible service in relation to generating timely and accurate quotations. Quotations are focused on highly customized labels for product and wire identification in aerospace and electronics industries, which entails use of variant configurations and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, sales, vendors, operational partners, and peers. Responsibilities are specialized within the Customer Support & Operations Function.
- Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers for pricing and prepares & delivers timely and accurate quotations using SAP, variant configuration, and cost models
- Ensures Brady quotations are fully compliant relevant to SOX, ISO, AS9100, and Internal Traffic & Arms Regulations
- Responsible for cost, discount, and profit calculation as well as unit of measure conversion
- Contributes to process improvements and initiatives to help drive a best-in-class customer experience and to deliver cost savings and process optimization
- Performs core job responsibilities with limited supervision and in accordance with standard operating processes and procedures
- Understands the need for escalation to leadership relative to barriers that impede quotation turnaround time
- Accountable to hit individual metrics and team metrics focused around quantity of quotations provided, quality of quotation content, and quick delivery of quotations to the customer
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Master Data
- Performs detailed review of customer drawings & specifications and cross-references with published technical data sheets and manufacturing capability to determine compliance to requested specifications
- Responsible for identification of revision level changes for custom parts and initiation of part creation and engineering changes to keep Brady master data consistent with customer requirements.
Skills Required
- Experience generating timely and accurate quotations using SAP, variant configuration, and cost models.
- Knowledge of SOX, ISO, AS9100, and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance for quotations.
- Ability to calculate cost, discounts, profit margins, and perform unit of measure conversions.
- Ability to perform detailed review of customer drawings and specifications and cross-reference technical data sheets and manufacturing capability.
- Experience initiating part creation and engineering changes to maintain accurate master data.
