About this role 

Riot is seeking a Custodian to join our team working from our Rockdale, Texas facility and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace environment. In this role, you will perform routine cleaning duties across assigned areas, including trash removal, floor care, sanitizing office spaces, restocking supplies, and maintaining custodial equipment. You will play an important role in supporting daily operations by ensuring our workspaces are well-maintained and welcoming for employees and visitors. This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

What you’ll be doing 

• Perform routine custodial duties throughout assigned facilities, including disposing of trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, stocking and organizing supplies, and maintaining custodial equipment.
• Ensure the proper use, care, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies while promoting workplace safety and environmental best practices.
• Clean windows and sanitize office surfaces on a daily basis.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning and complete seasonal or special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you’ll have 

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while working in office and restricted areas.

Licensing & Background Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• This position is subject to a background check as a condition of employment.
• Because this role involves driving, candidates selected to move forward will also be asked to complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
• All checks are conducted after a conditional offer, with the candidate's separate written authorization, and in compliance with applicable federal and state law.

Physical requirements and work environment 

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods 
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds) 
• Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.) 
• Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures 

Safety Requirements 

• PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots). 
• Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. 
• Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training. 
• Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
