A Day in the LifeMedtronic, the global leader in medical technology, is looking for a Midas, Cervical, MIS & Biologics Specialist to join our dynamic Cranial Spinal Technologies (CST) team in Iberia.
This pivotal role will focus on managing the portfolio for the families of Midas Rex power systems, Cervical & MIS Spine solutions, and Biologics. You will drive product adoption and growth through strategic initiatives while providing critical support to our sales teams and customers across Spain and Portugal.
Reporting to the CST Marketing Manager, you will collaborate closely with the European marketing team, Iberian product specialists, and the CST Sales Support team to deliver exceptional product expertise.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and implement short and long-term strategies for each product family (e.g., introducing Midas in Spine surgeries to drive adoption), analyze current IBERIA market trends (evolution, growth, players, competition), measure CST performance and identify new product opportunities, translate and adapt key marketing strategies from Global & Europe, track and report to guide business development on assigned product families.
  • Provide comprehensive training to CST sales representatives, agents, distributors, and customers (surgeons, nurses, electromedical departments), present products and support clinical evaluation surgeries across Spain and Portugal, develop training and implement educational programs for key stakeholders, collaborate with clinical specialists to enhance product knowledge and application
  • Coordinate and support major courses and promotional activities at national level (e.g., Midas Rex workshops), strategically plan our presence at key neurosurgery and spine congresses, aligning with CST goals, build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive product adoption, track event ROI and adjust strategy based on market response
  • Approve equipment allocations for customers based on established opportunity parameters and business rationale from sales reps /District Managers, for CST SST to deliver and follow up, establish rules for the CST SST for doing material allocations across CST product lines to ensure optimal distribution, coordinate product listings/delisting in the Spanish & Portuguese markets, establish rules for CST SST manage back-order situations and develop alternative solutions, decide minimum stock of products and disposables for demo and support activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with European and FRIBERIA marketing specialists, support CST SST  with documentation for public tenders, assist Business Operations in managing spinal surgery sets in critical situations, support CST SST  to execute Field Action and recall actions for relevant products

Required knowledge and experience

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, with availability to work in surgical theatres.
  • Excellent ability to manage multitasking and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, with capacity to learn quickly, as well as ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills aimed at delivering news under challenging circumstances, a curious mind eager to learn about a wide range of products, including product competition
  • Independent worker with strong self-management skills with ability to follow through on tasks to completion and report as necessary.
  • Availability to travel 80% of the time during the week, willingness to work flexible hours
  • Living in Madrid
