Coordinates and manages cross-border logistics operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and facilitating seamless communication between internal teams, vendors, and carriers. Demonstrates strong planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills to optimize resources and ensure timely, efficient movement of goods across borders.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new carrier’s approvals at client sites, making sure they provide the required documents, certifications and meet client’s standards.
  • Make decisions based on experience and academic background in extraordinary situations such as contingencies, capacity constraints, and other challenging situations to maintain the supply chain.
  • Informing the upper management and customers of changes in international trade laws and regulations.
  • Review carrier's performance, generate KPIs and reports to management.
  • Ensure border trade compliance according to Mexican and US laws and regulations.
  • Identify risk situations and act properly against them.
  • Organizes daily workload and holidays.
  • Supervises that all procedures are being followed by other team members and drayage carriers.
  • Analize statement of account regularly and coordinates with other departments that our drayage carriers will receive their payment according to company’s timeframes.
  • Participates in audits.
  • Identify and create new procedures that will optimize customer’s requirements
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in logistics, international trade or similar
  • 3-5 years’ experience in customs and logistics
  • Fluent in Spanish/English both verbal and written.
  • Proactively coordinate daily crossing logistics operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Familiarity with all border crossing documentation and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
  • Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
