Job Profile Summary:
This role will be responsible for coordinating planning, dispatching, and costing activities where crossing between the US and Mexico is involved. This will also require a high level of vendor communication giving direction, requirements, and expectations on each transaction.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate trailer staging at client ship sites with approved vendors, overseeing they comply with customer requirements and CTAPT regulations.
- Timely and concise communication with account teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless transit and timely escalation of any issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of shipment milestones in the system.
- Accurately record and maintain vendor cost information in the system in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate trailer, strap, and load bar inventory at all times/locations.
- Ensure all crossing paperwork is provided and follows proper procedures in case of customs inspections.
- Proactively coordinate daily crossing logistics operations, overseeing partner performance and collaborating closely to meet customer expectations while ensuring full compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
- Authorize and follow up the payments of invoices for our drayage carriers.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 3-5 years’ experience in customs and logistics
- Fluent in Spanish/English both verbal and written.
- Proactively coordinate daily crossing logistics operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Familiarity with all border crossing documentation and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
