Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Business Analyst – AI who can bridge business strategy and artificial intelligence initiatives across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Pricing, and Finance.The candidate will work closely with business leaders, data scientists, AI engineers, and data engineers to identify high-value AI opportunities, define business requirements, validate AI outcomes, measure business value, and drive adoption.Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify AI opportunities across manufacturing and business workflows, including automation, decision support, and process optimization.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clearly defined AI use cases, hypotheses, success criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Gather and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and functional specifications.
  • Work with data engineers and data scientists to assess data quality, availability, completeness, coverage, and feasibility for AI initiatives.
  • Validate AI/ML outputs against real-world business outcomes and business KPIs.
  • Define and track metrics such as efficiency gains, cost savings, revenue impact, forecast accuracy, adoption, and user satisfaction.
  • Act as the bridge between technical AI teams and business stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Support AI product vision, roadmap, prioritization, and value realization.
  • Identify and support mitigation of AI risks related to bias, fairness, transparency, explainability, privacy, and compliance.
  • Work with business users to drive adoption, gather feedback, and continuously improve AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Process Analyst, or similar role supporting manufacturing/business operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory planning, procurement, sales operations, pricing, and finance processes.
  • Practical understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, model performance metrics, Generative AI, and responsible AI principles.
  • Strong Business Analysis experience including requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management, workshops, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution validation.
  • Ability to assess data feasibility and work effectively with data/AI engineering teams.
  • Experience with Azure cloud and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Prompt Engineering and using GenAI tools for BRDs, user stories, test cases, process documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and technical-to-business translation skills.
  • Experience defining business cases, KPIs, and measuring technology/analytics value.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AI, ML, predictive analytics, or Generative AI projects.
  • Knowledge of Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Data Services.
  • Manufacturing ERP exposure such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience with AI use-case prioritization based on value, effort, risk, and organizational readiness.
  • Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, security, compliance, and responsible AI.
