What you’ll own
Evaluate credit applications and merchant portfolios by analyzing financial data, credit reports, and risk indicators to make informed approval, decline, or conditional decisions.
Structure and negotiate deal terms (e.g., reserves, collateral, guarantees) to mitigate risk exposure while supporting business growth.
Conduct portfolio reviews, due diligence, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to credit policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Prepare detailed credit analyses and executive credit memos, presenting recommendations and insights to senior management.
Partner with sales, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders to align on credit strategy, resolve issues, and support business initiatives.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Business with strong analytical foundation.
Minimum 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or credit risk, including 4+ years as a Credit Analyst.
Strong expertise in credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and portfolio management.
Proven ability to evaluate complex deals and make sound risk-based decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and defend credit decisions to internal and external stakeholders.
It’s a bonus if you have
Experience in payments, merchant acquiring, or fintech industry.
Familiarity with KYC processes, regulatory frameworks, and card scheme rules.
Exposure to risk tools, legal filings systems, and third-party credit assessment platforms.
Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading small teams/projects.
