We are looking for Credit & Collections Team Leaders!

As a Credit & Collections Team Leader you will report into the Head of Credit EMEA and will drive and support the performance of Collections & Credit Management for EMEA teams based in Krakow. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring KPIs are delivered on a consistent basis; minimizing bad debt, minimizing credit held, minimizing disputes & maintaining audit standards for the business.

You will help support and drive a continuous improvement, focusing on processes and systems within the internal Farnell team and wider stakeholders, and you will also be a critical contact in maintaining strong positive relationships between Farnell EMEA internal & external customers while working to achieve both business and personal objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Direct line management and daily supervision of the Credit & Collections Team.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, and goal setting for the team.
  • Monthly aged debt reviews with the Credit & Collections Team - documenting agreed actions, follow up & ledger housekeeping.
  • Aged debtor analysis & credit held order KPI reporting.
  • Credit limit review & approval.
  • Report & comment on OTC metrics for weekly review meetings.
  • Monitor team performance, training, coaching & developing.
  • Co-ordinate & monitor SALESFORCE task responsibility across the team. 
  • Lead monthly Regional Sales-Finance meetings.
  • Drive effective internal communications to key stakeholders within the business.
  • Investigate discrepancies and put in place plans to correct under performance or remediate errors.
  • Monitor & track that all team tasks, controls & activities are SOX compliant and approvals in line with Delegated Authority Matrix.
  • Drive compliance to company Credit Management Policy.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new team members, including onboarding, induction and training.
  • Co-ordinate the team to work to deadlines and meet agreed SLA’s.
  • Manage the Annual Performance Review Process with direct reports, agree goals & personal development plans and update Workday application. 
  • Support on both internal & external OTC audit review.
  • Influence and implement positive initiatives to drive improvement.
  • Support team members with problem solving and guidance on challenging issues.
  • Support with projects and initiatives across the OTC function.

What we are looking for

  • Mathematics, Accounting, or English Diplomas preferred.
  • ACICM Qualified (desirable)
  • Proven experience of leading/supervising Accounts Receivable & Credit Management Teams in a B2B environment.
  • Exposure to and an understanding of the full end-to-end OTC function.
  • Preparing & presenting KPI reports & analysis and preparing audit support information requirements within the OTC function.
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching teams.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Financial & IT systems e.g., ASW, SAP and proficient use of MS packages. i.e., Word, Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables), etc.
  • Fluent English language both spoken & written.
  • Second European Language (desirable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal skills - communicate both confidently & professionally at all levels across Global teams.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal & external customers.
  • Create a positive & supportive working environment.
  • Delegation skills.
  • Resilience and change management with an ability to adapt in an environment moving towards new strategic ways of working.
