We are looking for a Credit & Master Data Specialist who shall have responsibility and accountability managing the day to day Credit Management and Collection activities within Sales Company Canada
Duties of the role:
Ensure that the local credit policy is followed, contribute to improvements, and train sales and order fulfillment staff on the policy
Conduct credit investigations, evaluating and reviewing the credit worthiness of customers to minimize the organization’s credit risk
Perform collection activities to ensure that overdues are kept to a minimum
Monitor the status of individual credit accounts and ensure that problem debts are quickly identified and addressed
Provide regular updates to Canadian sales and management teams on Alfa Laval Canada A/R status
Collaborate with counterparts in other finance processes to achieve team objectives
Reconciliation of A/R and other accounts to the General Ledger
Maintain customer account master data (GCM, OneCMD, e-profiles) to ensure data quality
Act as system admin for external portals such as Ariba, Coupa, OpenInvoice and others
Execute all trade finance requirements in Canada (performance bonds, LOC’s)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in central projects in areas of responsibility
Other duties and support to the Shared Services team as required, particularly during internal and external audits
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED
Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:
Advanced degree or diploma required
Type and Length of Experience:
3 years of relevant experience in a B2B environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:
You are an effective problem solver, a self-starter, detail oriented, service minded and able to work independently
You maintain good relationships with external customers
You nurture and develop relationships with internal customers, both within Canada and across the global finance function
Experience working in an ERP environment is essential. Experience with Movex/M# or another AS400-based system is an advantage. Proficiency in Excel is expected
Compensation & Total Rewards
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - 75,000 CAD annually, based on experience and role alignment. In addition to base compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development.
Bonus Opportunity
This position is eligible for a target bonus of up to 4% of annual base salary depending on experience, awarded based on the achievement of company performance metrics. Actual bonus amounts are contingent on annual business results and may vary accordingly.
