Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The Role

As we broaden our reach, the role of our Credit Analyst is pivotal in assessing the creditworthiness of our existing portfolio and ensuring risk mitigation strategies are effectively implemented.

In this role, you will apply advanced financial analysis skills and exposure monitoring to the ongoing management of our backbook. You will be responsible for analysing complex business models, managing associated risks, and interacting directly with clients to maintain a healthy portfolio. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to make informed decisions that support our credit risk management initiatives.

What you will do…

  • Efficiently manage a dynamic workflow of trigger-based and periodic reviews, demonstrating the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for complex business models, applying a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Utilise complex evaluation techniques to assess creditworthiness, default likelihood, and overall risk profiles based on established guidelines and identify potential credit risks within the portfolio and recommend mitigation strategies, such as collateral requirements or guarantees.
  • Confidently make informed decisions within your own delegated approval limit, while preparing concise credit reports and recommendations for cases requiring management review.
  • Interact directly with clients to gather information, ask relevant questions, and build relationships to better understand their operations and risk factors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate credit decisions and ensure alignment with Dojo’s risk appetite.
  • Contribute to Dojo’s continuous improvement by making detailed recommendations to enhance existing processes and systems.
What you will bring…
  • Proven experience in credit analysis or a similar role, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
  • A track record in managing or underwriting large, complex deals, with specific expertise in merchant underwriting, credit insurance, or commercial lending.
  • Financial acumen & industry insight; Proficient in evaluating financial statements and adept at balancing risk with business objectives in complex deal structures with a solid understanding of payment nuances and industry trends, particularly in high-value sectors like healthcare, hospitality, leisure, and events.
  • Versatile technical skills across various systems, including high proficiency in Google Suite (particularly Google Sheets).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to articulate recommendations clearly to non-Credit Risk colleagues and senior management.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset for navigating complex credit scenarios and making informed judgments.
  • Initiative in managing complex cases independently under tight deadlines, with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities, while always maintaining an extremely high standard under pressure.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
