SUMMARY OF ROLE
Evaluate a borrower’s past financials and credit history to
determine their financial soundness and their ability to repay credit advanced
to them by a lender. Gathers important financial information and evaluate it
using financials ratios and compare the ratios with industry benchmarks to
decide if application’s cash flow is sufficient to repay the obligation.
Responsible for submitting renewals, as well as finalizing new deals at the
specified time frame.
Responsibilities
Credit Assessment
· Conduct preliminary analysis on the
financial statements, projections & business models at the deal initiation
stage, as well as a thorough analysis of financial analysis of financial
statements, facility, security structure).
· Prepare
ITS & ITS approvals.
· Once the deal is finalized,
conduct assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed
requests, refinancing and annual due diligence and provide recommendations tied
to analysis and assessment of credit risk whilst understanding the difference
between securities to understand the risk aspect.
· Present analysis
findings, and recommendation to managers, especially regarding their ability to
repay. It is important that the credit analyst understand the cash-flow of the
client.
· Develop
and prepare spreadsheet models to support analysis of new and existing credit
applications.
Account management:
· keep
up to date with the bank’s lending protocols.
· Follow
up on overdue, excess over limits, missing and expired documents, call report,
insurance expiry trackers.
· Reconcile
credit files and identify discrepancies and variance.
Relationship managers & Team Support:
· Support
business unit, especially relationship managers in managing client’s
portfolios.
· Help
to enhance the quality of credit applications and turnaround time.
· Keeping
knowledge of key issues up to date (for example legal, market risk and
compliance issues as well as financial reviews).
· To
support the team with various MIS requirements as & when required.
· In the
event of the absence of ARM, RM, support the divisional Head in the execution
of their duties.
Requirements
·
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or any related fields
· 5 years of
experience in the banking sector, or any related financial sector
