About the job
We are looking for a Creative Director to oversee the management, development, and promotion of a contemporary art collection at the EU Parliament. You will be responsible for collection policy, acquisitions and donations, exhibition programming, artwork installations, and stakeholder relations across multiple European locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the art collection policy in line with institutional objectives.
- Research and source artworks from artists, galleries, and dealers.
- Manage acquisition and donation processes and prepare recommendations for the Artistic Committee.
- Oversee permanent artwork installations across institutional premises.
- Curate and deliver at least two temporary exhibitions per year.
- Coordinate artwork logistics, transport, storage, and loans.
- Produce exhibition texts, catalogues, and communication materials.
- Conduct guided tours for visitors and staff.
- Manage relationships with museums, galleries, and cultural institutions.
- Supervise and support trainees.
Profile requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent higher education qualification (minimum 4 years post-secondary education), or equivalent professional experience.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in art collection management, curatorship, exhibitions, or cultural heritage.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Fluent English and French (C1–C2 level).
- Good knowledge of at least one additional EU language (minimum B2 level).

- Experience working with European institutions or international organizations.
- Knowledge of contemporary art collections and exhibition management.
- Experience managing artwork loans, logistics, and installations.
- Strong network within the arts and cultural sector.
- Experience producing curatorial and exhibition-related content.
