About the Role
Are you a visual storyteller with a passion for design and creativity? Smart Codes is looking for a Creative Designer to join our fast-paced creative team. In this role, you’ll collaborate across departments to produce bold, eye-catching work that delivers results for some of Tanzania’s most exciting brands.
You’ll bring ideas to life across digital, print, social, video, and experiential platforms—constantly pushing creative boundaries while maintaining brand integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging designs across offline channels, digital, print, social media, video, and web.
- Conceptualize visual campaigns, product illustrations, branding assets, and layouts.
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative output, following guidelines and client briefs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with copywriters, strategists, and marketing teams to bring campaigns to life.
- Present creative concepts to the Creative Director and internal teams, refining them based on feedback.
- Manage multiple projects, balancing deadlines while ensuring top-quality output.
- Stay ahead of trends by exploring new design techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute fresh ideas that challenge the norm and add value to creative campaigns.
- Engage in client presentations when needed, interpreting feedback into design improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Creative Designer or similar role in an agency or fast-paced environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work across multiple platforms (print, digital, video, social).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
- Solid understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
- A creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, handle feedback, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, UI/UX, or 3D design is a plus.
