Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Flooring Installation Technician to install, repair, and replace a variety of hard and soft flooring products in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate has experience with multiple flooring types, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install hard flooring products, including hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), luxury vinyl tile (LVT), vinyl sheet, and tile.
- Install soft flooring products, including carpet, carpet tile, and carpet padding.
- Measure and prepare work areas for installation.
- Remove existing flooring and dispose of materials safely and efficiently.
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, repairing, and applying moisture barriers or underlayment as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and installation specifications.
- Operate and maintain installation tools and equipment safely.
- Perform transitions, trim work, stair installations, and finishing details.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress and care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Load, unload, and transport flooring materials to job sites.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Preferred: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Kneel, bend, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely.
- Work in residential and commercial environments under varying conditions.
