Your Role and Responsibilities
Securities Industry Services (SIS) Division within Broadridge is a leading provider of brokerage transaction processing to the Canadian securities industry. SIS has provided comprehensive end-to-end brokerage services to financial clients for more than 45 years. Our robust technology solutions are driven by proven financial expertise and are supported by a team of dedicated professionals who collaborate with clients across Canada.
Our Tax Development team at Broadridge SIS Division is looking for a highly motivated and innovative developer to join our team to build and maintain the engine that powers Canada’s leading brokerage transaction processing system.
Main Responsibilities

Application Development, Coding, and unit testing of application programs including TSO/ISPF, DB2, IMS, JCL, TWS, ITOM, PL/1, SQL, ISPF utilities, SCLM, MS Office, SharePoint, teams, Service Now

Perform, requirements clarification, systems analysis, design, coding, unit test design, system integration packaging, documentation development, problem diagnosis, root cause analysis and impact analysis

Coordinate with the Tax Operations team for CRA processing in SIT/UAT/Production environments. This includes activities such as extraction of data from the mainframe Host, DB2 table loads & the analysis & execution of Production Change Requests

Support test environments & analyze & resolve issues raised by either the internal SIT team or the client UAT team

Initiate any required maintenance of the CRA application such as DB2 backups, TSM archives etc.

Creation of change tickets in Service Now for new code/patches & general adherence to change management practices

Communicate risks, impacts, and mitigation plans quickly, calmly, and effectively

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Business Analyst, other Developers, and Testers

Work independently or as part of a team

Share knowledge and skills with other team members
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (Software Engineering) or a related field would be an asset

Must have experience with Mainframe
-
General knowledge QMF, SPUFI commands, DCLGEN, DB2 binds, TSO/ISPF, IMS, JCL, TWS, ITOM, ISPF utilities like DFSORT, SUPERC, SCLM, PLI

Candidate must have experience with requirement clarification, system analysis, system design, code development, testing design and execution, system integration and packaging, documentation, and Problem Diagnosis, Root cause analysis, Impact analysis
