Role Description

As a Data Analytics Engineer, this role at GFiber is not just consuming telemetry from the Wireless product, but keeps evaluating and analyzing new telemetry for wireless products (CPE or Customer Premise Equipment) and associated features. You will be responsible for designing new telemetry test cases to evaluate the latest new Wi-Fi products and the new Wi-Fi features. You will also be the technical point of contact for all vendors for any new Wi-Fi product telemetry development. As a skilled Data Analytics Engineer, you are highly motivated, with an engineering background, some networking knowledge is preferred, also with hands-on experience with SQL, Python, sklearn, pandas, numpy and other related data analysis libraries.

You'll have a huge impact on the daily quality of GFiber's growing suite of products and services. You will use your knowledge of data science to promote proper engineering practice, new product metrics and other advanced concepts across products.

In this role, you'll:

  • Be responsible for maintaining the CPE team dashboards and providing on demand analytics to the engineering and cross functional teams.
  • Be responsible for functional enhancements to the existing dashboards e.g. creating new data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Partner with the product team to provide monthly readouts on CPE production analytics.
  • Partner with the field teams to analyze CPE contact and support rates in the field and work. with the engineering teams to provide technical solutions such as WiFi telemetry.
  • Utilize your experience with data analysis principles, cleaning data, imputation, normalization, preparing data for analysis, and outlier detection.
  • Use analytical concepts and statistical techniques such as: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 5 years of data analytics experience, performing complex data analysis, manipulations, and visualization.
  • Experience with either Python or SQL including experience performing complex database queries and using Python statistical and data libraries such as: sklearn, scikit, pandas, or numpy.
  • Experience with a range of data visualization tools, including: Looker, Tableau or Power BI.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Masters degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • 2 years of experience with Wireless Networking Data.
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
  • Problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $173,000 - $190,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
