The In-Country Marketing Manager is responsible for growing existing relationships and developing new relationships to increase business with Correspondent Payer partners in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and as assigned. This position will also be responsible for marketing promotions in the local area and identify and develop new business opportunities by establishing strategic alliances with potential pay partners to build the network in Central America and the rest of Latin America as assigned. This role is critical for driving success of the company’s marketing efforts in Guatemala and central America, ensuring that the brand is well-positioned in the market and that business objectives are met.
Duties and Responsabilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by establishing strategic alliances with potential pay partners to build the network in Central America and the rest of Latin America as assigned.
- Perform market research on corridor trends, competitors, local central banks, and other regulatory entities.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase Viamericas’ brand awareness in Latin America.
- Ensure consistent and impactful marketing efforts.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to inform marketing strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
- Manage on the ground marketing to include dressing rural locations.
- Actively engage and perform grass root events.
- Visit a selection of points of payment assigned corridors.
- Communicate marketing conditions to the marketing department.
- Collaborate with any marketing projects.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Make sure you and your team read, acknowledge and comply with Viamericas’ Staff Information Security Policy.
- Make sure you and your team attend periodic Information Security training provided by Viamericas’.
- Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident: clicked on a malicious link, downloaded and opened a suspicious file, etc.
Working Conditions
- General remote office working conditions. Domestic and International travel will be required as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the money transfer industry or related industry.
- Proven expertise in marketing within the financial services industry, preferably in money transfer services.
- Strong understanding of central America market and cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the region and to other countries as needed.
