Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented, collaborative and passionate lawyer to join our MACC Legal (Marketing, Ads, Comms and Consumer Products) team in EMEA, dedicated to providing legal support across Netflix’s Marketing, Marketing Partnerships and Advertising Sales teams, across the Nordics region. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the MACC legal team across our other offices, as well as cross-functional legal and business partners . Your direct manager will be based in Paris.

In this role, the successful candidate will help support our established Nordics Marketing team as well as our newly formed Nordics ads team, drafting and negotiating  all contracts needed by those teams including  media terms, trading deals, product placement deals, sponsorship/partnership agreements, creative agency agreements, talent/influencer agreements, participant releases, event/venue agreements, etc.

They will be responsible for providing legal advice on Ads Policies and Ads Product topics for the Nordics as well as advising on marketing campaigns and activations.   They should have in-depth experience working with marketing and/or advertising sales business partners  and a passion for practical dealmaking and business-oriented lawyering. The lawyer should be highly curious, eager to jump into new projects,  help the business navigate regulated industries and the evolving media  landscape and willing to help with the wider MACC legal team work where needed. They must be highly collaborative, working effectively with their MACC legal teammates, internal clients, and cross functional partners, including Title Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Comms, Publicity  Ad Sales, Ads Policy, AdTech, Product, Privacy, and Consumer Products, and Business and Legal Affairs. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level attorney to join our MACC Legal team and support our growing business while continuing to hone their skills and develop their industry knowledge.

The role will report into the Principal Counsel, MACC, based in Paris. Occasional international travel, including to Paris, and the US, might be required.

We are keen to add new perspectives and different voices to our team as we continue to grow. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Your talent, knowledge & experience (however gained) and your fit for Netflix culture are more important than the below profile or PQE levels.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • You are intellectually curious, demonstrate great initiative and self-motivation, and you are excited and inspired by the Netflix culture

  • You are adaptable, flexible, and happy to work in a fast-paced, high-performance role where the work is varied and changeable.

  • You won’t be phased by last minute surprises that come up when marketing a Netflix title or landing a new advertising client.

  • You are collaborative, enjoy working as part of a geographically widespread team, and are able to build exceptional interpersonal relationships across the business whilst working autonomously and reliably within tight timeframes.

  • You are a strategic, commercial thinker with sound judgment, strong analytical capabilities, and you focus on practical, business-friendly solutions just as much as getting the “right” legal answer.

  • You are comfortable assessing risk and making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity.

  • 6-8 years of PQE / legal experience, including direct legal counsel support of publisher, marketing, advertising, brand partnership, media agency, or entertainment/media teams.

  • You are a qualified lawyer or have a strong legal professional background, highly adept at commercial contracting and negotiating, with very skilled drafting capabilities and a solid grounding in advertising, intellectual property and commercial law across jurisdictions.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and handling complex contract administration and tracking.

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Fluency in English and Swedish is required. Knowledge of another Nordic language is a plus.

We recommend applying as soon as you can, but please note that the final deadline for applications is September 15th 2026.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
