SUMMARY
Plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate product costing, analyzing plant performance, and driving financial planning activities. This role partners closely with production, supply chain, and engineering teams to improve cost visibility, strengthen controls, and support data‑driven decision‑making that enhances profitability and operational efficiency. Actively supports the Strategic and Operational plans of Trebor and IDEX.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manufacturing Cost Accounting — Maintain and analyze standard costs, BOMs, routings, labor rates, and overhead allocations; ensure cost structures accurately reflect production processes.
- Inventory & COGS Management — Oversee inventory valuation, perform cycle count and physical inventory analysis, reconcile variances, and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Production Variance Analysis — Investigate material usage, scrap, labor efficiency, and overhead variances; collaborate with plant leadership to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manufacturing KPIs — Track and report key operational metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, throughput, yield, downtime, and cost per unit; provide insights to improve performance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting — Lead plant‑level budgeting and forecasting for production volumes, labor, overhead, capital expenditures, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Financial Modeling — Build models for capacity planning, make‑vs‑buy decisions, capital investment ROI, and scenario analysis.
- Monthly Close Support — Support month‑end activities including cost roll‑ups, inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and plant P&L analysis.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with operations, engineering, procurement, and supply chain to improve cost accuracy, optimize processes, and support strategic initiatives.
- Process & Systems Improvement — Enhance costing methodologies, ERP data integrity, reporting automation, and financial controls across the manufacturing environment.
- Compliance & Audit Support — Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements related to inventory, costing, and manufacturing operations

- Leads and/or participates in special projects and assignments as required.
- Maintains and continually updates knowledge of the Company's product(s) and appropriate operating procedures in an effort to properly and effectively maintain accounting records which reflect the Company's operation and financial results.
- Effectively maintains the professionalism of the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3-5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience, ideally in a standard-cost environment.
- FP&A background, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle/JDE, SAP, etc).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory flows, and cost drivers.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work with multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and integrity
