As the Cost Control Manager, you will lead plant cost accounting, inventory, Fixed Assets, and CAPEX activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP, Mexican GAAP, SOX, and company policies. This role partners with Operations and Finance leadership to drive cost efficiency, manage financial risks, and support business decisions.
What You’ll Do- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end cost closing, reporting, Standard Cost, Cost Conversion, Material Ledger, and variance analysis.
- Oversee inventory, Fixed Assets, CAPEX, CWIP, depreciation, and project accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Mexican GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and company policies.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Finance leadership to identify cost reduction, cash flow, and process improvement opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop Finance team members while supporting audits and succession planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5+ years of Finance, Controlling, or Cost Accounting experience.
- 2–3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant Finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Mexican GAAP, SOX, cost accounting, inventory, Fixed Assets, and CAPEX.
- ERP experience, preferably SAP, and advanced English communication skills.
- CPA certification and strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- MBA or postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Big Four or external audit experience.
- Strong SAP Material Ledger and Cost Conversion experience.
- Proven experience with cost reduction, cash flow improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing Finance talent and supporting succession planning.
