The Cost Accountant will support the organization's manufacturing operations through cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial analysis, and accounting close activities. This role will partner closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation, product costing, financial reporting, and compliance with corporate accounting policies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation and an interest in developing expertise in manufacturing and cost accounting within a complex manufacturing environment. YOUR IMPACT

- Support and maintain the cycle count program, including reviewing inventory adjustments and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Create, review, and process inventory transactions and inventory adjustments within the ERP system.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory, cost accounting, and general accounting.
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of standard costs for manufactured products.
- Review and analyze manufacturing variances, job order variances, and inventory transactions to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support inventory valuation activities, including excess and obsolete inventory calculations and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to inventory, manufacturing costs, and assigned general ledger accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing supporting documentation and reconciliations.
- Support Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes and inventory-related financial transactions.
- Perform periodic physical inventory reviews, work-in-process evaluations, and finished goods inventory assessments.
- Partner with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and accounting teams to improve financial visibility and inventory accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as needed.
- Monitor and report inventory levels, manufacturing performance metrics, and operational financial results to management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory controls, costing processes, reporting efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Support business system enhancements, ERP implementations, and process improvement projects, including the organization's transition to Infor LN
- Develop a broad understanding of multiple Oshkosh Aerotech businesses through cross-training and collaboration with finance and accounting teams across locations.
- Champion the Oshkosh “People First” competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members.
- Identify and support continuous improvement projects while leveraging the Oshkosh Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant experience OR Finance/Accounting internship within Oshkosh Corporation.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. (Trips to Warrenton, OR if candidate does not live there).

Pay Range:
$64,500.00 - $103,500.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
