Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to serve as a technical anchor for Payments Engineering team. In this role, you will spend your time on high-level technical execution—architecting and implementing robust AWS solutions, mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices. You will be the "go-to" expert for complex troubleshooting and architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Lead technical workshops, perform detailed code reviews for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- CI/CD Excellence: Optimize deployment pipelines to ensure a high "Change Success Rate" and low "Mean Time to Recovery" (MTTR).
- Security Integration: Implement "Shift Left" security practices using AWS IAM and Amazon GuardDuty.
- Operational Leadership: Lead the adoption of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles, focusing on automation over manual "toil."
Required Qualifications:
- Technical Depth: 8+ years of experience in DevOps, with heavy focus on AWS services (EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront).
- Mentoring Experience: Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and improving team-wide technical standards.
- Automation Mastery: Expert proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for systems automation.
- Containerization: Advanced experience managing production-grade Kubernetes environments via Amazon EKS.
- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional is highly preferred.
