Corporate Planning & Management, Product Associate - SAP Ariba Administration, Associate
CORPORATE PLANNING & MANAGEMENT
Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) is a central strategic function at Goldman Sachs, responsible for driving firmwide operational excellence, business planning, and the infrastructure that enables the firm to operate with strength, resiliency, and agility. CPM partners across every division deliver scalable solutions, optimize business processes, and position the firm for sustainable growth. The CPM Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third-party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm. Within Spend Management, the Source to Pay function encompasses Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation, and Sustainable Operations — managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties, advising on commercial agreements, and driving operating efficiency.
SOURCE TO PAY –PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Within CPM, the Source to Pay function oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of procurement and payables — from sourcing and vendor management through purchasing, invoicing, and payment. The Global Procurement team is focused on optimizing the procurement experience for internal firmwide stakeholders, Goldman Sachs suppliers, and Global Procurement operations teams — driving customer experience excellence, enabling frictionless interactions across the procurement lifecycle, and delivering scalable solutions anchored in the SAP Ariba platform ecosystem.
YOUR IMPACT
Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity, and come from diverse academic backgrounds. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in product management and a growing understanding of procurement business processes and customer experience design — with hands-on familiarity with SAP Ariba or comparable Source to Pay platforms. The role requires regular collaboration across functions, the ability to work independently, and comfort interacting with senior professionals across the firm.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

- Support end-to-end integration across SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fieldglass, middleware, and related systems by coordinating configuration, issue analysis, validation, and release readiness activities.
- Manage roles, permissions, groups, approval hierarchies, and access controls to maintain effective governance, segregation of duties, auditability, and alignment with firmwide risk requirements.
- Govern critical master and reference data, including supplier records, commodity codes, ship-to and bill-to data, approval rules, and configuration dependencies that enable reliable transaction processing.
- Investigate and resolve requisition, purchase order, invoice, supplier, and integration failures by identifying root cause, coordinating remediation, and driving sustainable fixes across upstream and downstream systems.
- Lead testing, UAT, defect management, regression validation, post-go-live checks, and quarterly Ariba release assessments to ensure changes are delivered with quality and controlled execution.
- Manage backlog items, support tickets, enhancement requests, and change activity through JIRA, ServiceNow, agile delivery routines, and SAP Support channels, providing clear prioritization and transparent status reporting.
- Define and report KPIs for platform health, adoption, processing efficiency, exception reduction, supplier onboarding, and business impact, while contributing to roadmap planning, automation, AI-enabled improvements, and stakeholder communications.
