Job Summary: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.  

 

This position is an integral part of DAV’s Corporate Partnerships team; performing key functions necessary to achieve the team’s short and long term objectives including:  Managing corporate partner accounts, and overseeing the development and execution of tactics related to DAV’s various Corporate Partnership projects, including corporate partnership campaigns and Member Advantages Program marketing campaigns; Conducts functions required to execute the above campaigns including the coordination of campaign plans, preparation of prospective and existing partner communications, drafting and sending correspondence, campaign reporting, and contract processing.  

Essential Functions:

  • Manage corporate partnership accounts
  • Manage the overall execution of benefits provided from DAV to corporate sponsors– ensuring each sponsor’s benefits are being planned for and delivered according to the partnership agreement
  • Plan and coordinate  corporate partner cause marketing campaign plans, schedules, budgets, vendor contracts and campaign kit supplies, tracking all deliverables, their owners, and their dependencies
  • Perform research and due diligence on prospective corporate partners in order to determine mission alignment with DAV
  • Prepare presentations, written correspondence, reports, and other documentation as needed to support the acquisition of new corporate partners and the cultivation of relationships with existing partners
  • Renew corporate partner campaigns in subsequent years, including drafting proposals, structuring deal points, getting alignment from internal and external stakeholders, and writing agreements
  • Manage day-to-day stewardship of DAV’s corporate partnership program, to include answering email and phone inquiries from potential corporate partners about how to partner with DAV; review proposals from potential corporate partners, prepare and process contract paperwork, and collaborate with DAV’s IT, Communications, and other internal teams
  • Collaborate with vendor agency to plan for and create year in review stewardship reports for corporate partners
  • Perform functions to support the overall Corporate Partnerships team, including, managing calendars, answering incoming emails to provide general information about how corporate partners can work with DAV, and following up on inquiries as necessary, reviewing corporate partner usage of DAV brand in campaign materials
  • Manage and foster strong relationships with assigned portfolio of corporate partner points-of-contact to maximize the returns from each partnership
  • Maintain a working understanding of DAV’s mission and programs
  • Perform all other responsibilities and projects as assigned by Corporate Partnerships Director

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years related work experience preferred
  • Pro-active, organized, attentive to detail, able to prioritize well, able to mitigate delays in project plans
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate via telephone and email
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external, in order to define and execute project deliverables
  • Strong adaptability to various software applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) and Adobe
  • Some travel to corporate partner-related events or meetings will be required, along with a valid driver’s license

Degree of Supervision:

  • No supervisory responsibilities, but must execute autonomous decision making and planning skills, as related to the overall management of projects related to the DAV Corporate Partnerships program

  • Job requires sitting up to eight hours a day and standing four to six hours a day.  Body movement primarily in hand and arm functions associated with normal office activities.  Hand and eye coordination, and hand dexterity is required for handwriting and keyboarding over prolonged periods of time.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.     
  • Work Environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
