JM Family Enterprises is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal. This position will support the corporate legal department by performing a broad range of legal, compliance, and operational support functions for the enterprise. The Corporate Paralegal will support multiple attorneys and work with corporate client groups to manage corporate records, support litigation and regulatory matters, assist with corporate governance, and facilitate commercial transactions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism. Strong communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines are essential. Experience in a corporate or transactional legal environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of legal support functions in a corporate, in-house environment, exercising sound judgment and initiative in prioritizing tasks and solving routine legal and business issues.
- Work closely with attorneys, other paralegals, and cross functional business partners to support legal matters across the enterprise.
- Maintain and organize corporate records, transaction files, and litigation files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Conduct legal research and analysis and prepare memoranda and other legal documents to support internal stakeholders on legal issues and processes.
- Assist in the management of litigation and other legal proceedings, including responding to subpoenas and discovery requests, coordinating legal holds, coordinating with outside counsel, and managing document collection and review processes.
- Assist legal department in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, including general knowledge of entity structures and drafting written consents and resolutions, litigation procedures, and other specific business legal needs.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of commercial agreements, due diligence materials, and transactional documents, including coordinating internal approvals and signature processes.
- Manage and maintain legal files, legal matter management system and databases and provide training and support to other members of the legal team on legal processes and tools.
- Monitor legal developments and best practices in corporate law and provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on legal issues and risks.
- Provide general operational and administrative support to the legal department to ensure efficient day-to-day functioning.
- Maintain processes for the timely recording of corporate actions of the operating subsidiaries of JM Family Holdings Group.
Qualifications:
- Either a 2-year degree and a paralegal certificate; or a 4-year degree
- Work experience as a corporate or transactional paralegal in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work self-reliantly, adapt quickly, and solve problems with minimal direction.
- Exemplary organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of general corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong judgment and professionalism.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of drafting correspondence, and proofreading.
- Proficiency in Outlook Calendar/Mail, OneDrive, Teams, Docusign, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and legal matter management system.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
- Excellent time management and deadline management.
- Service-oriented mindset with strong internal client support skills.
