The Work


The Corporate Legal Assistant will perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties in supporting the Law and Board Services teams.

The Core Responsibilities!

  • General administrative and clerical duties, from answering phones to filing and making copies.
  • Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings and conferences for team members.
  • Set up and maintain filing systems when required, utilizing knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents.
  • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments or organizations.
  • Identifies urgent issues that require immediate attention and facilitates a resolution, escalating issues that require escalation, where necessary. 
  • Maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and completing documents.
  • Managing, organizing, and collating legal documents.
  • Assists members of the Legal Department with submitting Concur claims or other expense claims, ensuring all required documentation is provided.

  • Undergraduate Degree, College Diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Extensive administrative experience required
  • 3 plus years of experience providing administrative coordination and support in a complex office environment. 
  • Experience working as a Corporate assistant providing administrative support required. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly confidential environment at the executive level. 
  • Proven ability to manage a large volume of files, conflicting priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly express ideas in an objective manner, and adapt communication
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, take initiative, to work independently, maintain an organized work environment, and be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to think logically and anticipate outcomes.
  • Sound judgment and personal and professional integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve external and internal partner issues.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude with genuine customer service orientation with
