Role summary: Senior specialist role supporting the smooth operation of corporate governance activities across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East (EAPAC & ME), with a particular focus on entities and boards serviced from the Singapore office (SIO). While this role is the sole corporate governance associate based in SIO, the individual is a fully integrated member of the wider EAPAC & ME and Global Corporate Governance team within the L&C department, working alongside associates located across multiple offices in Europe and the United States. The role requires a proactive, organised and experienced professional, ideally with prior knowledge of corporate governance practices and the ability to operate independently on a broad range of recurring and non-routine matters.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions
Board and committee support: managing corporate calendars, coordinating board and committee meetings and events across multiple time zones, and preparing, collecting and drafting meeting materials to a high standard.
Governance operations: providing day-to-day support and back-up for EAPAC & ME corporate governance matters, ensuring continuity of service to local boards, management companies and affiliated entities.
Regulatory and statutory filings: managing and supporting filings with relevant regulators and registries, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
Department projects and initiatives: contributing to, and at times leading, governance projects, policy updates, process improvements and cross-border initiatives in coordination with colleagues in Europe and the US.
Cross-functional collaboration: acting as a trusted point of contact in SIO for internal stakeholders, external counsel, directors and service providers; partnering closely with L&C colleagues globally to ensure consistent governance standards.
Team back-up and knowledge sharing: serving as a back-up to other team members across regions and contributing to a "one team" approach by sharing expertise, and supporting global consistency.

The successful candidate works under limited supervision, exercises sound judgement on standard and non-routine matters, and is comfortable operating as the local face of a globally distributed team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, regulatory awareness and the ability to build effective working relationships across cultures and time zones are essential.
