JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Corporate Development Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of merger and acquisition transactions and will actively contribute in advancing Molina Healthcare’s overall growth strategy. This includes strategically identifying, sourcing, evaluating, and executing Molina Healthcare’s inorganic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. The role will collaborate closely with Molina Healthcare’s M&A and operational leadership to evaluate and execute meaningful growth initiatives.
 

Essential Job Duties

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to research and assess potential Molina corporate development and merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities.
  • Develops financial and valuation models and perform comprehensive analyses to assess potential transaction opportunities and influence decision-making.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the M&A process, including due diligence, data rooms, transaction documents, internal updates, and senior leadership/board presentations.
  • Coordinates deal activities across internal cross-functional teams and external parties.
  • Actively participates in reviewing and negotiating transaction agreements.
  • Maintains a robust understanding of customer segments, industry trends, market positioning, and emerging opportunities.
  • Embraces ad-hoc assignments and projects across corporate development, and supports post-acquisition integration efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or similar environments, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong financial modeling and financial acumen skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong work ethic and proactive self-starter. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing business needs. 
  • Project management experience/skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite (including Excel), and applicable software programs proficiency.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or similar environments.
  • Undergraduate degree from a top university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a similar field.
  • Management/leadership experience.
  • Health care/managed care experience.
  • Understanding of deal structures, regulatory considerations, and integration best practices.
