Corporate Cost Accountant – Reading, PA
Hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
Brentwood Industries is a leading provider of thermoformed plastic solutions worldwide. The corporate cost accountant is responsible for maintaining and reviewing cost accounting functions at Brentwood Industries. Working with cross-functional teams to support and provide cost analysis across all levels of the organization. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

- Review product costing methodology to ensure manufacturing costs are accurately stated given current processes
- Perform routine audits of bills of manufacture to ensure product costs are accurate.
- Ensure monthly results accurately reflecting the business activities.
- Support monthly financial analysis, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget in accordance with corporate format and time requirements.
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive to completion.
- Actively participate with cross-functional teams
- Create and update internal cost accounting documentation
- Assist in the completion of special projects and reporting requirements.
- Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects
Essential Skills:
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 2+ years of cost accounting experience or equivalent. Experience working in a plant environment is a plus
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety rules, and operational instructions. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, customers, and vendors.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient skills using Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- OTHER:
- Must have familiarity with integrated ERP software applications. Syteline experienced preferred.
- Experience using PowerBI preferred

Skills Required
