ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

  • Manage all accounting and financial-reporting functions to ensure compliance with company policy, GAAP, and SEC rules and regulations
  • Supervise and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all reports filed with the SEC
  • Coordinate annual financial audit and quarterly reviews with external CPA firm
  • Implement and maintain adequate accounting and internal controls as well as effective disclosure controls and procedures
  • Coordinate the Company’s annual internal control audit and risk assessment
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet and cashflow trends
  • Assist with preparation of materials and presentations for the Audit Committee, Comp Committee
  • Manage the Treasury function and cash projection forecast for VRA
  • Assist with balance sheet and cashflow budget planning
  • Diligence support for future acquisitions
  • Provide other departments with information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop the accounting and accounting-support staff; identify and implement career-training needs and opportunities; identify and fulfill accounting-staffing needs
  • Develop continuous improvement focus for team that leverages new/emerging Dynamics 365 capabilities to improve efficiency, speed and improve controls
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.  CPA required.
  • 12+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing and/or distribution environment with exposure to retail accounting and operations
  • 7+ years of SEC-reporting experience
  • 7+ years of directing or managing/supervising experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong command of GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office analytical tools including spreadsheet, database, and graphing applications
  • Exposure to integrated manufacturing software; Dynamics 365 experience a plus
  • BI/Power BI skills a plus
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop others
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent organization and follow-through skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong team player

Base Pay Range:

$140,400.00 - $210,600.00

Vera Bradley’s compensation ranges are based on market data and comply with all local, state and federal regulations. Individual pay within the listed range depends on work location, skills, experience, and relevant education. The posted salary reflects base pay only and excludes bonuses, equity, or other incentives, if applicable.
