We are seeking an experienced communications professional with excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills who will play a critical role in supporting our internal and external communications functions as well as corporate events. 

Position Title: Corporate Communications and Events Manager

Business Unit: Corporate Communications

Reports to: Internal Communications Manager

Position Overview:

The Corporate Communications and Events Manager (CCEM) will support, develop, plan and execute large-scale corporate events such as semi-annual employee briefings, press events, investor meetings and other executive leadership events. In addition to serving as the lead on major corporate events, the CCEM will support internal and external communications functions at the direction of the Chief Communications Officer (CCO). This position will work closely with the Internal Communications Manager and will ensure alignment with brand, mission, vision and core values in all event planning and communications efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directs, plans, and communicates large scale corporate events with a focus on employee briefings, executive speaking engagements and press events. Supports event management for corporate events as needed and directed by the CCO. Oversees the budget process for all assigned event projects. Manages details of events including catering, hotels, transportation, a/v equipment, guest registration, speakers, security, parking, and more.

In alignment with executive leadership, manages internal and external awards programs. Produces annual award presentations and events and coordinates other communication-related duties that support employee recognition programs. Researches, analyzes, writes nominations for and tracks third-party awards and recognition lists.

Develop communication strategies and activities for corporate events, including message development, articles, and scripts among many items. Act in an expert role in the preparation and execution of communication initiatives, acting as, a resource for colleagues and business partners on best practices and implementation details.

Manages vendor relationships for photographers, videographers and third-party events staff. Coordinates ongoing employee headshot needs and updates.

Manages end-to-end requirements for meetings or meeting sub-events as assigned; this may include identifying service providers and accommodations, transportation, location, catering, signage, displays, and any special needs requirements. Writes and edits scripts, talking points, and stage directions while managing the preparation and distribution of handouts and meeting collateral.

Oversees the budget process for all assigned event projects, evaluates event success and gathers feedback for continuous improvement.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
