The Role:

The role of the Corporate Business Development Manager will be to drive company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships and increasing revenue across the South Island.

You will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and achieving new business growth, orders, new business writings (vehicle deliveries) and contractual profit.  

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and market insights.
  • Achieve sales and new business writing (NBW) targets by securing new customers and fleet orders.
  • Manage a structured call cycle, logging all activity in Salesforce.
  • Grow portfolio value by upselling products, services, and multi-service solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts to maximise profitability and ensure alignment with pricing guidelines.
  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate customer data and pipeline tracking in Salesforce.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with senior decision-makers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Champion customer needs internally to ensure proactive service and long-term value.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to management.
  • Represent FleetPartners at industry events and networking opportunities.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a motivated sales professional with strong sales habits, effective call cycle planning, and a disciplined approach to business development. You will have experience and capability in the following areas:

  • 3-7 years of business to business selling experience
  • Customer engagement at senior levels with proven experience prospecting for opportunities
  • Strong ability to develop and sustain customer relationships
