Overview:
This position will participate in the month-end close process in a Corporate Accounting setting, where attention to detail and a strong work-ethic are essential for success. This position requires independent initiative and judgment to improve accounting processes, procedures and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct month-end close processes
- Preparation and review of complex journal entries
- Monthly variance analysis and detailed explanations
- Reconcile detailed, high-volume balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and research of accounts for correct coding and accuracy
- Balance sheet Account reconciliations performed timely and with detailed explanations for reconciling items
- Ability to work independently to ensure work is completed timely and accurately
- Ensure that transactions are prepared in accordance with GAAP
- Support the management financial reporting process and special projects as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting including preparing, reading, interpreting and analyzing financial statements
- Advanced Excel proficiency, strong data analysis skills, and strong general PC proficiency required
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
