Corporate Technology & Analytics | Internship Opportunity
The Opportunity
Some internships ask you to observe from the sidelines. This opportunity is for a curious, service-minded problem solver who wants practical experience using data, systems, and technology to make work clearer, more consistent, and more effective.
24Seven Hotels is seeking a Business Intelligence & Enterprise Systems Intern to support reporting, enterprise applications, Microsoft 365, user support, documentation, and process-improvement initiatives across our corporate office and hotel portfolio. Working under supervision, you will contribute to defined assignments with established scope, due dates, quality standards, and security requirements while learning how technology and analytics support a multi-property hospitality business.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a student or recent graduate who enjoys identifying inconsistencies, organizing information, asking thoughtful questions, and translating technical or analytical details into clear, user-friendly solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, organize, validate, and reconcile information used in approved dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports.
- Document metric definitions, calculations, data sources, reporting frequency, ownership, and intended users.
- Support enterprise applications, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, collaboration platforms, and routine user requests.
- Assist with authorized access documentation, equipment preparation, system inventories, upgrades, integrations, configurations, and user-acceptance testing.
- Create practical user guides, FAQs, job aids, troubleshooting instructions, training materials, and knowledge resources.
- Map processes, systems, handoffs, dependencies, and recurring challenges to identify opportunities for greater clarity, consistency, efficiency, and user experience.
- Support approved workflow automation, pilot programs, implementations, and process changes through testing, documentation, training, and feedback collection.
- Maintain project plans, task trackers, issue registers, decision logs, risks, dependencies, meeting notes, and action items.
- Protect confidential information, follow cybersecurity and access-control requirements, and promptly escalate suspected security, operational, access, or continuity risks.
- Build positive working relationships across corporate and hotel teams while communicating progress, barriers, findings, and recommended next steps.
What Success Looks Like
You deliver accurate, timely, and well-documented work; communicate clearly when priorities or risks change; protect confidential information; and turn assignments into useful resources for the people who rely on them. You seek feedback, apply what you learn, follow required approvals, and demonstrate growing confidence with data, systems, projects, and stakeholder service.
What You Bring
- Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information systems, business or data analytics, information technology, computer science, business administration, hospitality management, or a related field.
- Coursework, projects, internship, help-desk, customer-service, administrative, or hospitality experience involving data, systems, technology, or process improvement preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Exposure to Power BI, SQL, databases, SharePoint, Azure, Intune, automation, cybersecurity, HRIS, or hospitality systems is a plus.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify inconsistencies.
- Ability to follow procedures, approvals, security standards, and escalation protocols; balance priorities; meet commitments; maintain confidentiality; and work independently and collaboratively.
- A curious, adaptable, service-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new systems, receive feedback, and ask appropriate questions.
The Work Environment
This is a six-month internship that may be structured as part-time or full-time and is primarily based in our corporate office. Work includes extended computer use, standard office and technology equipment, and limited local travel to hotel properties as assigned. The essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
